How to use these calculators

Salary in-hand calculator: enter the CTC from your offer letter to see your monthly take-home pay under the new tax regime for FY 2026-27. It deducts employer and employee PF, gratuity, professional tax and income tax with 4% cess. Taxable income up to ₹12 lakh pays zero tax because of the section 87A rebate.

EMI calculator: works for home loans, car loans, personal loans and education loans. Change the loan amount, interest rate and tenure to see your EMI, the total interest you will pay, and a year-by-year repayment schedule.

GST calculator: add GST to a price or remove it from a GST-inclusive amount. It uses the GST 2.0 slabs of 5%, 18% and 40% (plus 3% for gold and silver) and splits tax into CGST and SGST for same-state sales or IGST for inter-state sales.

SIP calculator: estimate what a monthly mutual fund SIP can grow to. Add a yearly step-up to see how raising your SIP with each salary hike changes the final amount.

Freelance rate calculator: find the minimum hourly and day rate you need to charge to reach your monthly income goal after business costs, time off and tax.

Frequently asked questions

How is in-hand salary calculated from CTC?

In-hand salary is your CTC minus the employer’s PF share and gratuity (which are part of CTC but not paid monthly), then minus your own PF contribution, professional tax and income tax.

Is there any income tax up to ₹12 lakh in FY 2026-27?

Under the new tax regime, taxable income up to ₹12 lakh has no tax because of the section 87A rebate of up to ₹60,000. Salaried employees also get a ₹75,000 standard deduction, so a salary of about ₹12.75 lakh can be tax-free.

What is the formula for EMI?

EMI = P × r × (1 + r)n ÷ ((1 + r)n − 1), where P is the loan amount, r is the monthly interest rate (annual rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100) and n is the number of monthly instalments.

When does a freelancer need GST registration?

Service providers must register for GST once their yearly turnover crosses ₹20 lakh (₹10 lakh in some special category states). After registering, you add 18% GST to invoices for Indian clients.
